Non-surgical rhinoplasty at Harley Street
Smooths a bump, lifts a drooping tip or straightens the profile with filler, without surgery.
What it is
Small amounts of dermal filler placed precisely along the nose to smooth a dorsal bump, support the tip or improve symmetry. It cannot make the nose smaller, and it is not suitable for everyone, so suitability is assessed carefully at consultation. Because the nose has a delicate blood supply, this is an advanced treatment carried out with extra caution, and dissolving agents are always to hand.
Who it may suit
- A small bump on the bridge of the nose
- A tip that droops or lacks support
- Mild asymmetry or a dip along the bridge
Part of the 360° Approach
I'll consider this treatment as part of a plan for your whole face, so it's balanced with everything else and you only have what you need.
Risks and aftercare
Common: swelling, redness, tenderness and bruising. Rare but serious: infection, or filler blocking a blood vessel, which in the nose can cause skin damage and, very rarely, loss of vision. You will be told which warning signs to look out for and how to reach the clinic urgently. Not suitable if you have had surgical rhinoplasty. All risks are discussed at consultation.
Questions
Is it painful?
Most people find it very manageable. Numbing cream or anaesthetic is used where suitable.
Can I have treatment on the day of my consultation?
Usually you'll have time to think about your plan first. If you've already had full information and want to go ahead, we can discuss it.
Who can't have this treatment?
It isn't suitable in pregnancy or breastfeeding, for under-18s, or with some medical conditions and medicines. I check this at consultation.
